Music in Country Churches: Now in its 30th year, this was set up as a charitable trust in 1989 with the active support of the Prince of Wales, who has attended over 50 of its concerts. It has two aims – to take concerts by artists, ensembles and orchestras of international renown to country churches of special beauty and historical importance and raise funds whereby the Trust can make significant donations to the churches visited, to help specifically with the heavy costs of the upkeep of the fabrics.
Churchcare: Information from the Church of England about fundraising, guidance and advice and all sorts of details on different aspects of maintaining church fabric and developing your church building.
National Churches Trust: This exists to support churches, chapels and meeting houses so that they remain at the heart of the communities for which they were built and can continue to play an integral part in them. It does this by providing grants, helping with access to professional maintenance services through MaintenanceBooker, and providing information on its ExploreChurches website on visiting these ‘treasure houses’ of heritage, history and community.
